The Faculty of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Lincoln University, New Zealand, has 75 academic staff, approx. 800 undergraduate and 115 postgraduate (26 Hon., 36 MSc, 53 PhD) students and an annual R&D income of approximately 2.6 million Euros.

The Faculty is one of the largest tertiary agricultural R&D and teaching organisations in New Zealand.

Research and teaching in the faculty are organised/managed through four main Departments:

  • The Department of Agricultural Sciences
  • The Department of Ecology
  • The Department of Wine, Food and Molecular Biosciences
  • The Department of Soil and Physical Sciences

Some of these are further subdivided into Research Centres, which in some instances span other Deaprtments, Faculties and Organisations depending on the type and amount of R&D funding they receive.
