Organic grapes: 21 percent increase in 2008

According to the latest FiBL/IFOAM survey at least 150'000 hectares of organic grapes are grown world-wide (2008) - a 21 percent increase compared with the data from 2007.

The countries with the largest organic grape areas are Italy, Spain and France.

The latest grape figures are now available at this website and were compiled in the framework of their annual survey on organic agriculture worldwide.

The latest data on organic agriculture world-wide will be presented by FiBL, IFOAM and Organic Monitor on February 19, 2010 at the BioFach Congress.
