August 25-27, 2009: International Scientific Conference 'Fostering healthy food systems through organic agriculture – focus on Nordic-Baltic region' in Tartu, Estonia

From August 25-27, 2009 the international scientific conference 'Fostering healthy food systems through organic agriculture – focus on Nordic-Baltic region' will take place in Tartu, Estonia.

The conference constitutes Seminar 422 of the Nordic Association of Agricultural Scientists NJF .  

The aim is to provide opportunities for the exchange of knowledge and further scientific co-operation in Nordic-Baltic region. Conference is open to all fields of research involved in organic agriculture. The main topics are: 

• Soil fertility and nutrient management
• Organic field crop production
• Organic horticulture
• Farming systems and environmental impacts
• Animal health and husbandry
• Food quality and human health
• Marketing, economy and policy
