Organic Cotton: Textile Exchange 2010 Farm & Fiber Report

The Organic Exchange organization, which has operated as an information platform for organic textiles for years, has been renamed the Textile Exchange.

The group headquartered in the USA maintains offices in eight countries, organizes conferences and also publishes an annual report.

The “Textile Exchange 2010 Farm & Fiber Report” presents the continuing growth in the organic cotton segment in 2009/2010. Production rose 15 % from 209,950 metric tonnes (mt) in 2008-09 to 241'697. The 100-page report covers 23 countries, 260 producer groups and 275'300 farmers.
