Louis Bolk Institute becomes a partner in the LowInputBreeds project

Recently the Netherlands-based Louis Bolk Institute (www.louisbolk.org ) has joined the LowInputBreeds consortium.

The Louis Bolk Institute (LBI, Netherlands) is an independent scientific research institute offering advisory, research, and development services in the fields of organic and sustainable agriculture, nutrition and health care. The Institute operates in the Netherlands and Europe and also has regional offices in Uganda and Ghana.

The Institute's Department of Agriculture has a strong background in organic and sustainable farming systems development. Its expertise includes sustainable soil management, organic animal and plant breeding, agro-biodiversity and animal welfare.
