Call for papers: 14th IFOAM Organic World Congress

The Organic World Congress (OWC) of the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements2014 will involve a total of three tracks: The Main Track, The Scientific Track, and The Practitioners' Track, each exploring the global organic industry from numerous perspectives. In addition, a series of workshops will also be held highlighting the contributions various initiatives are making to the organic world. As for the previous IFOAM Organic World Congresses, the Scientific Track will be organized by the International Society of Organic Agriculture Research (ISOFAR).

A total of 24 scientific sessions will examine the following: systems, plant production, animal husbandry, socio-economics, processing, trade, and human nutrition research. Each session will have a maximum of three oral and no limit in poster presentations.

Researchers are invited to submit their results as full papers between two and four pages for the above mentioned scientific sessions in English. The submission will be done via the http://orgprints.org/ . The submission will be evaluated in a review process organized by a scientific committee of ISOFAR (www.ISOFAR.org ) and the local Turkish partner EGE University (www.ege.edu.tr ).

Time plan

  • Opening call: 1 January 2013
  • Deadline for submission: 30 June 2013
  • Evaluation result to authors: 30 October 2013
  • Final paper submission: 31 January 2014
  • Final decision of the scientific committee and information about forseen session, if oral or poster: 31 March 2014
