The project

LowInputBreeds is the acronym of the project 'Development of integrated livestock breeding and management strategies to improve animal health, product quality and performance in European organic and ‘low input’ milk, meat and egg production'. It is funded under the Seventh Framework Programme of the European Community for Research, Technological Development and Demonstration Activities . It is a Collaborative Project .

The LowInputBreeds project is coordinated by Newcastle University UNEW. The Research Institute of Organic Agriculture FiBL acts as academic coordinator. 

The work is carried out in five subprojects.
