Research Institute of Organic Agriculture FiBL, Switzerland

The Research Institute of Organic Agriculture FiBL has around 120 staff and is one of the world’s leading organic farming research and technology transfer centre dedicated to sustainable agriculture.

FiBL focuses on applied animal and veterinary science, socio-economic and crops R&D and the dissemination of scientific findings to farmers, policy makers and other stakeholders. The close links between R&D and technology transfer/advisory work are a particular strength of FiBL.

The following FiBL departments are involved in the LowInputBreeds project: Animal Health Department, Animal Husbandry Department and the Communication Department.

FiBL acts as the scientific co-ordinator of the LowInputBreeds project.
